Apple TV Setup

When shopping for an Apple TV, for every new device you purchase there are some extra parts you need to include so this device works. You will want to make sure you have an HDMI cable that can reach between your Apple TV & Projector.

After your purchase, please follow these directions to setup a TTSD Apple TV:

  1. Connect Apple TV to projector and power on (center button of Apple TV remote)
  2. Power projector on and select source to find Apple TV
  3. Locate Wifi address.
    1. Using the Apple TV remote, point remote directly towards Apple TV (not screen), select "Settings" on Apple TV menu
    2. Click "General"
    3. Click "About"
    4. Write down "Wi-Fi Address"
  4. Submit Tech Request with "Wi-Fi Address" to get Apple TV to be able to connect to TTSD network.
  5. Wait for email letting you know your Wifi Address has been added to TTSD network.  Continue with Step 6.
  6. Using the Apple TV remote, point remote directly towards Apple TV (not screen), select "Settings" on Apple TV menu
  7. Select "General" and then "Name"
  8. Select "Custom" and name your Apple TV with your (last)name and room number so that you can find it on the network using the Apple remote.
  9. Click "Submit"
  10. Back on the list of settings under "General", select Network and select "TTSD" under the Wifi Network setting.
  11. You should receive the "Connection Succeeded" message. Click Done.
  12. Press Menu button and then Settings (again)
  13. Select AirPlay.
  14. Select "Conference Room Display".  Turn this on.
  15. Select "Security".  Select "Onscreen Code" 
  16. Restart Apple TV.
  17. Apple TV should successfully update date and time to show on AirPlay network.
